All graduating high school seniors who are residents of Newtown, Connecticut, and former high school graduates who were residents of Newtown, Connecticut, at the time of graduation are encouraged to apply to NSA. Students must be pursuing an undergraduate college degree or technical school education. Scholarships are awarded to students based on their family’s financial need, the student’s academic information, activities, work history, and an interview with the NSA Awards Committee. Awards are for one academic year only; students must reapply each year they wish to be considered for scholarship assistance.
To help you prepare in advance for completing the application, please utilize our NSA Guide to the Application Process.

Returning users should enter their email address and password to Log In to the application portal. If you don't recall your password, click the "Forgot your password?" link and follow the instructions to reset your password. If you are currently attending college and reapplying for a scholarship for next year, use the Returning College Student Application. If this application does not appear to initiate after you log in, click on your name in the top right corner, then My Account, then Eligibility. From there, you can update your profile to reflect that you're a returning college student.
